Electrotherapy has been commonly used in physical therapy for 50 years. It involves stimulating the subcutaneous nerves with a mild electrical current to elicit therapeutic affects. In this work shop you will learn how to use the two most popular electrotherapy modalities - Interferential Current (IFC) and TENS - to help reduce pain, muscle spasm and assist with your drainage techniques.

Derek Shin is a kinesiologist, massage therapist, and acupuncturist who has been in practice since 1990.
Derek is the founder and director of the McNicoll Wellness Centre, a holistic healthcare clinic located in Toronto.
He has extensive clinical experience in the treatment of pain and soft tissue injuries through ultrasound and electrotherapy.
He also has many years of experience as a lecturer and adult educator. Derek is also President of the National Wellness Corporation which provides quality education to both organizations and healthcare professionals.
